So we live in an age where seeing our partners every day is almost an impossible situation (except living together), and when we get the chance, it’s hard to say no, in fact, some still say no when the thought of going to work the next day pops up and is hard to shove off.

As if that’s not tough enough, the morning after eventually come and we ladies have to rush to work but then suddenly reality sets in: we’re stuck with the day before’s outfit and there’s absolutely no eating their cake and having it this time (Pssss everyone at work is just about to find out somebody didn’t go home last night).

Even though the above is the usual narrative after staying over at bae’s on a work weeknight, there’s a contemporary fashion movement that is changing the sequel. No, you didn’t guess right but I’ll tell anyway. it’s the androgynous fashion movement. This fashion sense gives ladies the freedom to find our work outfit from our Man’s Closet. White/Flannel shirt

The White Shirt is one staple piece almost every man has in his closet, bet your man even has more than one. For us ladies, it’s one of the most versatile pieces so your first fashion point of call, the morning after, especially if you were wearing pants or skirt the previous night should be his white shirt. If it’s too big, remember you can tie it and make a cropped shirt out of it. You can even do that on a dress, let your inner chic guide you. Flannel shirt is just the icing on the cake. Style on the morning after babe nothing can stop you!

Black pants

Contrary to what a lot of people think, a guy’s Black pant can give you that style edge instead of the drab look. Yes its probably not going to be fitted  (except you’re the most lucky girl on earth that wears the same size as her man, talk about assurance hehehe) but you can create something edgy and fashion forward out of it. Cuffing it at the bottom will definitely create that magic. Bottom line though when in doubt check the mirror. And if you’re not sure, move on to the next piece!

If you work in the creative sector, borrowing your Man’s jeans to work the morning after is totally allowed, just style it the way you’ll style yours if you had a baggy. And if you’re lucky again it fits, just go with it and style on. For the record, there’s no law against you pairing fashion pieces in his closet  (if he doesn’t mind). Most important thing is to embrace your creativity and make something iconic!

Tie

Add your Mans straight or bow tie to your outfit is one of the morning-after styles you don’t want to miss out on. The style tip here is to go for the ones with prints and softer colours in his closet and if you’re bold enough you can as well go for the bold colours too (In between he can even knot it for you). It’s all about fashion, its all about freedom, there’s no limit to how you can style this piece.
