No many people know this but aside from emergency contraceptives and the regular pills, there are permanent options. Women may feel the need to opt for this perhaps when they have had all their children and have much time left before menopause.

There is no form of birth control that is 100% effective, so it is possible to get pregnant while using most types of birth control. However, many types of birth control, when used correctly, are highly effective in preventing pregnancy. For all forms of birth control it is important to have a basic understanding how they work and how to use them correctly.
5) The morning after pill should be used only in emergencies
A lot of women have turned to regularly using morning after pills to prevent pregnancy but it’s recommended that if you’re resorting to using an emergency contraceptive so often then you should look to being on something more long term. This is because emergency contraceptives have an effect if consistently used.
