Tems’ Makeup Artist Shares Secret To No-Smudge Look At Coachella

Tems owned the Coachella stage as she delivered on her set that featured two surprise guests – Wizkid and Justin Bieber. But beyond how stable her vocals were, how seamlessly she transitioned between songs and the flawlessness with which she sauntered through the stage – was how befitting her outfit choice and no-smudge makeup look was for her performance.

The Grammy-winning star, whose makeup was done by her makeup artist, Kayla Perez, served face as the artist gave a flawless base to a simple yet statement look that was set with three different setting sprays – the Kryolan Fixing Spray, One/Size On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray and the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.

In a now-viral video, Tems is seen whispering to her makeup artiste that her makeup has not smudged despite just performing. Although Kayla approves this method of using three setting sprays for performance looks, she had told a follower on her TikTok page that she’ll not recommend it for daily looks.

For her Coachella performance, the music star was styled by Dunsin Wright, her longtime stylist, in a cutout sequined long dress – a perfect look to announce the coming of her debut album ‘Born In The Wild.’
