It was a date with Hollywood’s finest – from Taylor Swift to Blake Lively – as they showed up and showed out at Leicester Square to celebrate the premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce. Although we had iconic fashion moments with Taylor Swift’s appearance in her Balmain dress and Blake Lively in her Chanel ensemble, Beyonce was still the star of the show.
At the London premiere of the film, Beyonce went for an all-black custom Thom Brown Couture look that she paired with a runway heelless arched platform and fingerless gloves. The Thom Browne Couture look took inspiration from the designer’s previous collections, which all began with grey suits, as he designed looks that delved into the different ways it has evolved in the last 20 years.
It was a moment, but her Balmain dress for the after-party soon stole the spotlight. The outfit from Balmain’s Prefall 2023 collection explored sculptural womenswear, which was merged flawlessly with Monsieur Balmain’s love for embellishments to create fragile luxury pieces.
All these outfits work perfectly to fully recreate her Renaissance tour era, themed ‘Alien Superstar.’ She followed through with it at the LA Premiere held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater as she wore a retro-futuristic dress from Versace paired with matching latex silver gloves. This moment saw the debut of her Targaryen-esque ice-blonde look.
The three-hour world tour film showcases live performances and behind-the-scenes moments of her historic Renaissance tour, from the creation process to its execution. According to the Billboard Year-End Top Tours chart, Renaissance Tour grossed about $580M and sold 2.8M tickets in less than five months, making it the #1 tour of the year.
