How Toke Makinwa, Sharon Ooja, and Others Stunned At Honorary Event For Bridgerton Season 2

Nigerian actors took to an honorary event for the second season of Bridgerton in South Africa to showcase their twist to classic outfits from England’s Regency era.

The 400 guest event themed “A Bridgerton Affair” was hosted by the former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi. The event was hosted at a soirée polo event in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Celebrity stylists and designers channelled English fashion while infusing African twists to the outfits made based on the theme “Bridgerton Royalty Regency, With An African Flair.”

Here is how our favourite actors showed up for the Bridgerton.

1. Kate Henshaw

In the dress from Nigerian couture brand, The Purple Lagos, Kate Henshaw recreated the outfit of Duke of Hasting’s mentor, Lady Danbury. Her inner dress was made with an Ankara material with a colour composition of green, red and yellow.

Her jacket was made with green satin and embroidered green with a green fringe bag and a black walking stick.

Not only was her dress well-tailored, her hair and makeup artists deserve some accolades for how well they paid attention to details.

The award-winning actress had her hair made by Yellow Sisi, and Yolanda Okereke-Fubara pulled together her styling.

The media personality had her regal dress made by South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee. The ball gown was green, and the neckline was accessorized with gold. She paired the outfit with a gold headpiece studded with green gems.

Her accessories were also gold and green studded. She completed the look with a green feathered fan.

3. Bimbo AdemoyeBimbo Ademoye

Somobysomo made bimbo Ademoye’s yellow dress. The straight gown with an ankle-length train was paired with a yellow feathery headpiece custom-made by Fascinators By Mimi.

Celebrity stylist Oluwaseun Olapade styled the actress. Maryjay Blaq did her subtle yet beautiful makeup.

She paired her yellow dress with an emerald green bracelet, ring and earring. Her shoes were also yellow heels.

4. Rahama SadauRahama Sadau

Lady Rahama showed up in her best daphne inspired outfit with her feathered pink full-length dress. She paired this outfit with a white glove and gold purse.

Her hair was styled by Charity Ify, makeup by Mudi Glam and overall styling by Zuleihat Zuzu Mamman.

5. Sharon Ooja EgwurubeSharon Ooja

The actress looked stunning in her green palette dress. The dress made by Sheye Oladejo had a detachable long train made out of hand-beaded pale turquoise silk.

Sharon’s dress was made from the Ankara material was, beaded, and the neckline was studded with green stones.

She was styled by Damola Adeyemi, who styled her dress with a silver headpiece.

6.Kunle Remi

Kunle Remi

Kunle Remi understood the assignment uniquely structured kaftan outfit. He paired the blue top and trousers with a black velvet cape accessorized with Gold embroidery and linked with a Gold chain.

The actor completed his fit with a black cap studded with black and gold stones. Rex Fashion Concept styled him and Looks Like A Good Man made the outfit.

7. Deyemi OkanlawonDeyemi Okanlawon

Deyemi pulled up in his best imitation of men during the England Regency era. He wore a blue frock coat accessorized with white strings. His traditional England pants were white paired with a black leather boot.

Designer Tasha styled him while his bespoke outfit was designed by The Dust Culture and his boots by Latunde.

Bridgerton season 2 will focus on Lord Anthony Bridgerton and his new love interest.
