“My Mother Wasn’t There For Me” – Tara Fela-Durotoye Reveals On Kemi Adetiba’s King Women

Kemi Adetiba, in collaboration with Accelerate TV, has released another deep and soul stirring episode of King Women and this time its makeup entrepreneur and lawyer, Tara Fela-Durotoye sharing intimate details of her life, relationships and career.

Tara Fela-Durotoye is one of the few women in Nigeria who transformed the face of makeup in Nigeria. As Founder and CEO of House of Tara International, she has played a pivotal role in encouraging women entrepreneurs across Africa and is a pioneer in the bridal makeup profession. However, her life didn’t start out as a bed of roses.

On the third episode of King Women, Tara reveals how she was raised in a polygamous home by her late stepmother. She also talked at length on the complicated relationship she has with her mother and how they were apart for many years, especially in her formative years.
