On Saturday, 18th November, 2017, the who is who of the Nigerian Hair Association were treated to a colourful extravaganza of glamour, style and beauty at the Kanekalon Presents Arigato Stylist Event hosted by Kanekalon, the world’s leading manufacturers of quality fibre used for hair extensions. The term Arigato means gratitude in Japanese.

A first of its kind event in Nigeria, it was Kanekalon’s way of saying thank you to hairdressers, stylists and hair distributors, who have supported the brand through the years, and what a grand outing it was with over 400 guests in attendance.

At the event were Mama Elegant Twins Dr. (Mrs.) Adebisi Osinsanya; a representative from the Iya Oge of Lagos, Chief Dr. Mrs. Opral Benson; Chief Mrs. E.A. Koleade; Deaconess Mrs. Tom; Alhaja M.M. Bakare; Chief (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Ughutevbe, Madam Vicky, Mrs. Okulate; Mr. Tony Bell; Mr. Martins Obiako, Madam Koya and Madam Defendis International

Posthumous tributes were also paid to some pioneer distributors of hair such as Madam Comfort Erus, Madam Chika Tina, His Royal Highness and Lolo Romay.

While the Kanekalon team thanked the audience for their continuous patronage over the years, they also informed guests about the upcoming Miss Kanekalon 2018 pageant. They invited young ladies and their stylists to take part in the event because it was opportunity for them to get empowered; and mentioned that they should like the brand’s Facebook page.

Shedding more light on the pageant, Miss Ojeme further encouraged young ladies to apply for the competition, stating how being Miss Kanekalon has changed her life for good.

During the live product demonstration, guests got to experience firsthand the unique features of the brand, such as its soft and silky nature, the hot water set technology and fire retardant quality; all of which have made Kanekalon the globally loved brand.

From beautiful music, to exotic food and drinks, drama, dancing competitions, amazing gift packs and the unveiling of the exotic Kanekalon Hair Tips Video, Kanekalon left no stone unturned in delighting the guests. It was revealed that more of such amazing hair tips videos will be coming soon on the Kanekalon Africa Facebook page.
