Taraji P Henson Speaks Up Against Her Longtime Manager Accused Of Sexual Harassment By 9 Women

American actress Taraji Penda Henson, 47, has spoken against her longtime manager Vincent Cirrincione, 70, being accused of sexual harassment by five women last week.

“The news about my Manager Vincent Cirrincione has shocked, hurt, and offended and yet again put professional women in a  position to not trust the men they work with. Everyone knows how difficult this Industry has been for women and my hope is that all of these unspeakable events ignite true change in the treatment of women in this entertainment business,” she wrote on Instagram.

“True art can only be created in an environment of vulnerability and TRUST.If you continue to decimate the trust, you lose the beauty of the Art. I feel saddened, disappointed and ashamed. We deserve better. THIS HAS TO STOP!!!” she concluded.

His accusers who are all black actresses say he made unwanted sexual advances toward them over a period of two decades ranging from 1993 to 2011. Three of them alleged he demanded sex as a condition for him agreeing to represent them.

American actress Halle Berry whose manager he was in the past has also lent her voice to the issue. She wrote,“Yesterday I was saddened by the allegations against my former manager, Vincent Cirrincione, but today I’m sick after reading the horrifying detailed accounts of his abuse towards 9 women,”

“I’m livid that used me, and the role model he helped me become, to lure and manipulate innocent, vulnerable women of color for his predatory actions. I’m deeply hurt and I want these woman and countless others to know I see you. I hear you. You matter. I will fight for you,” the actress concluded on her post on Instagram.

Cirrincione who said in his defense that while he did pursue sexual relationships with a number of women, he denies requiring sex as a condition for him representing them, has shut down his company.
