Throwback: A Look At NECLive In Seven Years!

Since 2013, there have been seven NECLive conferences! NECLive is the premier and largest gathering of entertainment industry professionals in Nigeria.

This year on Sunday, April 25, #NECLive8 is returning as a hybrid media event combining a studio set-up of select speakers with live global broadcast across Cable TV, radio and online platforms.

Before we get there, we need to throwback to the very first edition of the conference. And we have evidence of the awesomeness that was birthed that day.

When former Minister of Youth and then Information, Frank Nweke, dropped gems on advocacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry, during the first NECLive conference in 2013, he may have been predicting the future!

“Professionals in the Nigerian entertainment industry should organize themselves into unbiased proper pressure groups advocating on behalf of the general masses whose consciousness can be easily influenced by this industry.’ – Frank Nweke speaking at the #NECLive2013

Actor, Frank Donga, came with the look we can’t stop laughing at. But, it was serious business when he and CEO, What’s On Media and Production, Chichi Nwoko, spoke at the 2017 edition of the NECLive Conference.

That time that former BBN housemate and media personality, Tobi Bakre, walked off the stage of the 2019 NECLive Conference with the ‘#BBNaija Star of 2018’ Award.

Kayode Olowu, Founder/Creative Director, One Wild Card; Tokunbo Adodo, Vice President Corporate Brands, Airtel; Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Media personality, and John Ugbe, CEO, Multichoice Nigeria, serving different shades of looks at the 2019 NECLive Conference.

Ok, we can’t forget CEO and Founder, BHM and and NECLive Convener, Ayeni Adekunle’s speech at the 2019 Conference.

By the 25th of next month, #NECLive8 and we will explore the theme: “Building The Future”, through the exploration of actionable steps and solutions proffered by some of Nigeria’s most brilliant professionals and accomplished entertainment industry stakeholders.

So, we can reminisce all we want, but the future is here!
