Celebrities across Nigeria channelled their best representation of Afro-futurism on the red carpet at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever African premiere, held in Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday, November 6, 2022, and they slayed!
The premiere, which had some of the films main casts like Letitia Wright and Lupita Nyong’o in attendance, was held at the Filmhouse Imax Cinemas, Lekki.
Here are some of our favourite looks on the carpet, themed ‘Afro-Futurism: Show Them Who We Are.’
Allysyn
The reality TV star channelled her best Black Panther warrior look and she slayed! Her outfit was designed by the celebrity stylist, Tiannah styling, and her makeup was done by Cass Koncept.
Prince
Prince looked like he was straight out of a Black Panther movie. Although the outfit is not exactly futuristic, the outfit styled by Tiannah styling still stood out.
Bayo Oke-Lawal
One thing the creative director of Orange Culture would never do is be basic. In a perfect blend of African and futuristic outfits, Bayo wore a suit set from his brand made with black and gold variations. He paired it with an African punk gothic chunky choker necklace and bracelets.
Elozonam
Elozonam understood the assignment. In a sleeveless aso oke overcoat paired with black flared pants, a black raffia hat, and cyborg’s arm, the content creator embodied Afro-futurism. He was styled by Obiageri and the outfit was from Jeff Urban Clothing.
Sharon Ooja
Sharon Ooja and Dahmola are the perfect pair when it comes to red carpet-looks. Not swaying too much from Sharon’s regular style, Dahmola styled the actress in a black lace corset and fringe aso oke skirt from Ann Cranberry. Her hair was also styled to suit the theme.
Adunni Ade
The actress looked regal in the two-toned corset dress paired with a matching cape, chunky gold accessories, and over-the-top headgear. Adunni was styled by Ceo Luminee.
