Yvonne Orji Casually Rocking Her TWA on the Africa Day Benefit Concert is Everything!

The Africa Day Benefit Concert held just yesterday and it was all shades of amazing!

The concert was held to raise funds for people and families whose livelihoods had been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was a two-hour concert and featured lots of African superstars like Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Niniola, Teni, Adekunle Gold, AKA, M.anifest, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, and lots more!

Viewers also got treated to special goodwill messages from forever faves like Toke Makinwa, Adesua Etomi, Jemima Osunde, and Yvonne Orji!!!

Yvonne Orji looked pretty chilled and relaxed in a barely made-up face and an ankara jacket as she talked about Africa Day. According to her, ‘It’s always been Africa’s time, the rest of the world is just catching up.’

Almost as good as her inspiring words was the casual way she wore her hair – in a short and slightly tousled teensy weensy afro.

We’re used to seeing Yvonne rock waist-length braids and sleek wigs (which we have got nothing against!), so it was pretty cool to see her comfortable enough to wear her TWA in a continent-wide concert like the Africa Day Benefit.

The thing is, the TWA is a really awkward stage of transitioning to natural hair and most people are really uncomfortable with it.

Now, seeing a global star like Yvonne Orji rock hers the way she did will definitely give others the courage and inspiration to do the same.

Again, in Yvonne Orji’s words, ‘It’s Africa to the world, we cannot be stopped, the revolution will be televised!’
