Hi, I really do hope this meets you well. I have been dating this guy for some time now but I’m kinda feeling guilty I snatched him away from his ex. We met while he was still in a relationship with her but only officially started dating after they broke up which was like two months later. He tells me it isn’t me but most times I feel I am the reason they aren’t together anymore. I feel like I snatched him away from her.

There’s no strong reason why they broke up. Infact he told me things just stopped working but I’m quite convinced it is because he met me. Please don’t get me wrong, I love him to bits. I love him so much I won’t give settling down with him a second thought but sometimes the guilt pang comes and I feel so bad.

Hello Ify, reading this actually got me smilling. I understand the situation you are in and it just goes to show how beautiful your heart is.

Know this, no man can be snatched away from their partners. Men aren’t toys, they are poeple and that comes with having senses which helps them make decisions. Just like you and I, they can conciously make the decision to leave, stay, cheat or do whatsoever in a relationship. Even if you tempt him to do something, it is he who makes the decision at the end of the day.

You have done nothing wrong. I assume you both had attractions for yourself, hit it off from there and things are working out, that is beautiful. As he didn’t cheat on her with you, there is nothing wrong you did. The relationship ended before he started another with you.There are even people who find their soul mates while in a relationship with someone else.

If it bothers you so much, invite his ex over and talk things out with her. Knowing how she feels can help me be more relaxed and at peace. Trust me though, this is unnecessary.
