Abisoye Fagade: The Celebrity CEO and Golfer With An Exquisite Taste In Fashion

Abisoye Fagade, the CEO of Sodium Group, is one of the many Nigerian business executives who belong to the elite class of CEOs who are powerful dressers.

Whether it is casual, business, social and formal wear, it is obvious Fagade pays detailed attention to his looks.

He is a powerful dresser, and he has his late banker father to thank for influencing his fashion sense.

“My father influenced my dressing. He was a powerful dresser,” he told Neusroom’s Michael Orodare during a recent interview for his profile published on Neusroom.

When he died, after he had retired for almost six years, we still counted nearly 120 suits and over 200 Marks and Spencer shirts. Agbada was uncountable. So my father was a fashionista; he influenced my sense of fashion if I have any.”

The marketing communication executive is not just a powerful dresser, he is also a golf enthusiast. When he is not designing communications strategies or attending political meetings in Ibadan, Fagade is on the golf course, a common hobby for business executives across the world. A report by Syracuse University’s online MBA programme says 90% of Fortune 500 CEOs play golf.

“Golf is life, and it teaches you a lot of lessons,” Fagade said. And business executives say playing golf makes them better at their jobs, according to the Syracuse University report.
