Korty EO Announces Release Date For Debut Film With Victoria’s Secret

Five months after Nigerian filmmaker Korty EO was chosen as one of the creators behind the Victoria Secret 2023 campaign, a documentary showing the process that led to their summer 2023 collection will be released on Prime Video on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

The VS 20 project brought filmmakers, musicians, artists, and fashion designers together to produce a fashion collection. Each of these creators from Tokoyo, Bogota, London and Lagos, with the help of Victoria’s Secret, filmed their process included in the documentary, ‘The Tour ‘23.’

Korty shared on her social media accounts that she was excited about the documentary as she worked with four other Nigerian creatives – Bubu Ogisi, Ashley Okoli, Eloghosa Osunde and Wavy The Creator – to create a collection that showcased the heart of Lagos.

“Directed my first film for Victoria’s Secret, and I can’t tell you how this process tore me apart and built me back up. We’ve created something that might be a new genre of its own, and I’m so proud,” she tweeted.

Korty EO first hit the limelight as a filmmaker in 2020 when she started telling stories of eccentric young Nigerians making waves in the creative space. From her viral interview with Blaqbonez to her insightful talk with Ayra Starr and her iconic ‘Finding Wizkid’ video, she has found a space for herself telling exciting and insightful stories with visuals. Her YouTube series ‘Love or Lies’ and ‘Flow with Korty’ have become one of the most popular reality YouTube shows in recent memory.
