For 7 years, Omoyemi Akerele has organized what is arguably the biggest fashion event in Nigeria – the Lagos Fashion & Design Week, and most times all we get to see is the glam on the runway show, the gorgeous dresses, the media coverage and the fabulous street style, without any clue the tears and challenge that go into the planning and execution of the event.

But in a new interview with Chrystallis Conversations, the fashion entrepreneur lets us have a glimpse of what it really takes.

Omoyemi, a law graduate, also shares what prompted her to choose fashion over law among other things.
