The fashion mogul created a 191% demand for ‘lace bodysuits’ in just two hours after the release of her pregnant Vogue cover. According to Lovethesales, there was a 110% increase in fashion demand for ‘Lace gloves’ and 40% increase in fashion demand for ‘Red Heels’ in just two hours.

With her recent feature in the fashion magazine Vogue, conversations on what is considered decent for pregnant women have become a trendy topic. It is essential to discuss it because Nigerian society has held pregnant women to a decency standard.

In her pregnancy journey, Rihanna has shown off her baby bump with her choice of outfits while slaying in them as usual. However, this move would be considered indecent for the average Nigerian pregnant woman regardless of what the individual finds to be comfortable.

Motherhood is a responsibility that the Nigerian society opines that women should not take lightly. In Nigeria, part of that responsibility is dressing the part of a mother and a wife.

Rihanna has made this statement with her outfit choices since revealing her pregnancy. For her pregnancy reveal, she showed off her baby bump in a long pink puffer jacket from Karl Lagerfeld’s fall 1996 collection for Chanel, paired with stunning jewellery, black leather, a gold chain-link belt and a rare vintage cross with gripoix crystals.

For the cover page, the music star had on an Alaïa bodysuit from their Summer Fall 22 collection. The gloves and shoes were from Alaïa as well, coupled with earrings from Chopard.
