The 42nd edition of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant held last night, Sunday 25th November 2018 at the Eko Convention Center, Lagos, and Miss Chidinma Aaron Leilani emerged as winner of the prestigious crown out of the 18 contestants who made it to the grand finale.
The contestants representing the various geo-political zones in Nigeria showed off their cultural attires and also walked the runway looking elegant in their evening gowns designed by Rikaotobyme.
12 of them made it to the next round. They included; Ntan Nton, Egede Lagele, Thomas Mseve, Ameh Munirah, Otuba Ifunanya, Shitta Remilekun, Tizhe Usa Miriam, Okudili Odinaka Doris, Agida Stephanie, Ugwu Ijeoma, Aaron Chidinma Leilani, and Dunu Chisom Olivia.
They were each asked questions to test their intelligence after which the judges picked the top and final 5 who were; Dunu Chisom, Ntan Sharon Nton, Ameh Munirah, Agida Stephanie, and Aaron Chidinma Leilani.
Ameh Munirah was announced as the second runner-up while Dunu Chisom was the first runner-up.
The winner, Chidinma Aaron Leilani was crowned by the outgoing Miss Nigeria, Mildred Ehiguese who won the pageant in the year 2017.
Along with the crown, Chidinma went home with N3 million, keys to a luxury apartment and a car.
