The World’s Most Iconic Fashion Designer & Photographer, Karl Lagerfeld Is Dead

German fashion designer and photographer, Karl Lagerfeld is dead.

Karl, 85, passed away in Paris, France this morning following several weeks of illness.

Before his death, Karl worked as the Artistic Director of luxury fashion house Chanel, as well as the creative director of Italian fashion brand, Fendi. He also designed collections for his own eponymous fashion brand.

Arguably one of the most iconic fashion figures to ever live, Karl began his career in 1955 as an assistant to Pierre Balmain. He went on to work with a couple of other brands including Jean Patou, Tiziani and Chloe.
