When Waje, Bolanle Olukanni, and Mai Atafo grace an event, we expect to see a blend of luxe and style. It’s no surprise that these personalities lived up to expectations and more as they stunned in luxury African pieces to The Macallan Sherry Oak exclusive launch. From Waje’s take on Beyonce’s Renaissance stage outfit to Mai Atafo’s suit set and Bolanle Olukanni’s pop of colour.
Their ensembles spotlighted the luxurious lifestyle of Lagos’ vibrant culture, while employing the expertise of some of Nigeria’s best artisans and designers to curate their outfits, all in line with the theme of The Macallan’s Sherry Oak exclusive launch held at the Mantra Lounge, Lagos on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Here’s all you need to know about their outfits.
Bolanle Olukanni
Bolanle Olukanni looked all shades of stunning in a colour-blocked ensemble. She paired an orange silk shirt with a knee-length lemon skirt accentuated with fringe elements.
Waje
It’s not a Waje look if it’s not chic. The music star’s dress, designed by her longtime stylist Kizito, was inspired by Beyonce’s Renaissance stage outfit. She paired the dress with strappy heels and simple jewellery.
Prince Nelson
Prince Nelson takes simplicity as the utmost sophistication to heart as he wore a simple modern suit paired with chunky black loafers that matched his choice of shirt.
Mai Atafo
When Mai Atafo graces an event, his outfits usually channel luxe. For The Macallan Launch, he wore a blue cameo lapel tuxedo from Atafo, and he paired it with a black velvet embroidery dress shoe.
Moet Abebe
Moet Abebe always explores with style, and it’s evident in every outfit she is spotted in. For the soiree, she kept it chic in a high-slit black dress and black strappy heels to match.
