We Asked D&G For Details About Davido’s Three-piece Outfit At O2 Concert. Here’s What They Told Us

Davido has never hidden his love for bling.
When Wizkid publicly echoed some of Davido’s critics’ sentiments about his voice in 2017, he responded by getting himself new jewellery with a custom frog head pendant worth $200 million. In a decade of his career, aside from dropping hit songs that have broken music charts, his jewellery collection is legendary.

On Saturday night, when he took the stage at the O2 Arena for his ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’ concert, he made his first appearance in a dazzling all-black three-piece Dolce & Gabbana outfit embellished with crystals, and he ended the show in an all-white shirt and shorts.

We asked D&G for details about the custom made three-piece outfit Davido rocked when he opened the concert, but they are yet to give full details.

“First and foremost, we are glad to have your attention to our brand. We have received your inquiry, and we kindly inform you that your request has been forwarded to our relevant team for further assistance,” Marilena, a representative of D&G, wrote in response to a mail by 234Star.

Davido’s appearance is incomplete without his jewellery, and this time, he had an exquisite range for his performance. From the rose gold Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1R-001 watch worth ₦332 million ($795,000) according to Chrono24, to the Richard Mille Felipe Massa RM11-02 watch priced at ₦63 million ($151,000) and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 41 Rose Gold Custom Diamond Set.

It doesn’t come as a surprise to many fans that Davido invests so much in jewellery. But flying his jeweller, Benny The Jeweler, from the U.S. to London to ‘ice him out’? Many didn’t see that coming.

His jeweller revealed that the music star, who has broken almost every streaming record in Africa and sold out concert venues, including the 20,000-capacity London O2 Arena for the second time in three years, sent his jet to bring him to the U.K. to ‘ice him out.’

Davido’s concert jewellery collection also included a silver-studded Cuban link and a 001 pendant embellished with green and white crystals.

“Flew my jeweller out on my jet to drop a half mill on some jewels,” Davido wrote on Instagram.

But this isn’t the first time Davido will be spending extravagantly on jewellery. In 2019 he bought jewellery worth over 41 million naira ($100k) for Zlatan, Mayorkun and other members of his team.
