The Headies Awards, Nigeria’s biggest music award and one of Africa’s longest-running music awards, is going global for the 15th edition, and in celebration of this remarkable feat, the US Consulate General in Nigeria hosted entertainment stakeholders and enthusiasts at a pre-award party on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

The 2022 Headies will be holding at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Atlanta, in September 2022.

It will be the first time the Headies, usually held in Lagos, will take place outside Nigeria since it was founded in 2006 by media entrepreneur Ayo Animashaun.

Over the years, the Headies brand has consistently celebrated Nigerian music talents while recognising outstanding music innovation.

The Headies 15th edition special party organised by US Ambassador, Mary Beth Leonard, in Lagos, was a gathering of Nigeria’s key business, political, media, and cultural leaders as well as entertainment industry stakeholders.
