Celebrities nationwide repped their cultures in style at the premiere of Funke Akindele’s Battle On Buka Street, held on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Battle on Buka Street is a Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Funke Akindele and Tobi Makinde that centres on the rivalry of two women who set up food businesses on the same street.

With the theme of the premiere being ‘repping your culture in Christmas colours’, here are some Nigerian celebrities that understood the assignment.

The veteran actress stunned in a green and red aso oke combination from a fabric store, Culture Speaks. Iyabo’s dress was designed by Toyin Lawani-Adebayo and she paired the dress with red heels and gold accessories.

Gbemi Akinlade looked all shades of Gen Z and culture in her two-piece set. The actress wore a crop top made of a multicoloured aso oke containing Christmas colours, green and red. She paired the top with a low waist skirt. She accentuated her outfit with silver and pearl pieces of jewellery.
