Here Are Six Of Our Favourite Street Styles At The GTCO Fashion Weekend

Two years since the last GTCO fashion weekend, the consumer-focused fair is back to showcasing the best Africa has to offer in terms of fashion to a global audience while providing opportunities for fashion retail.

The fashion weekend, which was held on November 12 and 13, 2022, was themed ‘The Future of Fashion Retail’ and had some of Africa’s top fashionistas in attendance, with the GT Centre being the centre of African streetwear style.

Here are six of our favourite street styles at the event this weekend.

Larry Hector

In the usual Larry Hector style, the model came to slay. For the first day of the event, he wore a two-piece set from the Orange Culture Spring Summer 2022 collection. He paired the Sohan print pants with a cropped print jacket. To match the vibe of his outfit, he had on a graphic eyeliner drawn by Mide Blaze.

Tijesunimi Olupekan

Tijesunimi was all booted and suited up in the Cherophobia look from DMR’s Forms of Fear 2022 collection. He paired the suit set with black boots and a chunky silver ring.

Kanyisola Kuku

The red-carpet host looked stunning in her all-pink outfit. The outfit made by TYFE Amour is a two-piece set made up of a blouse with an attached shoulder shawl and A-line pants with ruffles at the bottom. She paired this outfit with red heels and gold accessories.

Shark Lawal

The designer stood out with her pink flared top and green pants, which were accentuated with ruffles made of prints wrapped around one side of the pants. She paired this with a graphic scarf wrapped around her head and futuristic white shades.

Cuttyeka

Cuttyeka wore a design from his brand, Vintage Nigeria. The blue robe was accessorised with multiple necklaces, including a pearl choker necklace and black shades.

Bola Montana

In a simple yet classy look, the content creator wore a two-piece print-on-print look. Styled by Dems, Bola wore shorts and an off-shoulder top with dramatic sleeves. She paired the monochrome look with a round-toe buckle decor platform heeled sandals from Shein, a beaded bag, a blue studded necklace, and blue shades.
