It was Lagos Fashion Week over the weekend, and some of Africa’s biggest fashion brands, personalities and enthusiasts attended the show to experience the best the African fashion industry had to offer as designers and consumers of fashion.
As leading fashion designers broke the boundary of style at their respective showcases, guests in the true spirit of highlighting and breaking the boundary of style graced the fashion week in top-notch and unique street styles.
Here are some of the show-stopping outfits in the first three days at the Lagos Fashion Week themed ‘Standing The Test of Time’.
Larry Hector
Larry Hector is known for his bold styles, but he takes it up a notch at the fashion week as he puts a spin on Asake’s fashion trend in an all-denim look consisting of baggy deconstructed denim pants with patchwork cropped blazers designed by Androgynous designer Korede James.
He accessorised the outfit with chunky silver rings and boots.
Opara Boy
Opara has been experimenting with the idea of blooming in regards to fashion. So when he showed up to the Lagos Fashion Week in a mask made with real fully bloomed flowers, that was all he needed to make a fashion statement. He paired the statement piece with an all-white ensemble and the Saint Laurent Moccasin Loafers.
Chioma Ikokwu
Chioma loves daring runway looks, and that’s exactly what she went for as she sat front row at the LFJ showcase in their Under Sea Collection. She looked straight out of a futuristic film with their 3D printed bag HOK, which fits perfectly into the theme of the fashion showcase.
Success Carter
Iconic is one word that best describes Success Carter’s look for the fashion week. The fashion influencer wore a suit set from Just Icon’s latest collection ‘Grandeur.’ He paired the extravagant outfit with the Chanel pyramid clutch.
Onyeoma
Its denim deconstruction season and Onyeoma is one of the many fashionistas that slayed the trend as he graced the Lagos Fashion Week in a deconstructed denim look paired with the Lygocool’s Snakes Dark Design And Subculture Gothic Handbag and statement Balenciaga chunky footwear.
